An elongated earthwork pit, circa 23 by 9 metres, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and very indistinctly on aerial photographs taken in 1947. It is not depicted on the late-19th century map, and is tentatively interpreted as the remains of a post-medieval or early modern extraction pit that had ceased operation by the late-19th century. An adjacent linear ditch approximately 3 metres wide may be associated with it, perhaps a boundary or trackway.
