Full description

The area is depicted as orchard, with what sems to be a pond in the north-east corner.

An irregular earthwork pit, 60-70 metres across, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1989 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The area is depicted as orchard on historic mapping with a pond in the corner, and trees were extant here in 1947. It is interpreted as a post-medieval extraction pit that was later re-used as an orchard in the 19th century.
