The extraction pit is faintly visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the south of Culm Davy House. The earthwork is semi-circular in shape, measures approximately 26m in length by 17m in width and abuts a road along its western edge. The earthwork is located in an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded as part of this survey. It remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014.
