An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014, to the northwest of Parklands Farm. The extraction pit was not clearly visible on any aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.

The extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014, to the northwest of Parklands Farm. The oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 24m in length by 20m in width and is located in an area where numerous ‘Old quarries’ and ‘Old clay pits’ are depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, as well as a number of similar such earthworks recorded as part of this survey. The extraction pit was not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
