Possible former field boundaries of possible post-medieval date were visible as narrow and low earthwork banks on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, on the south-west facing slopes east of Ford House, Ford, Stockland.
The banks are also visible on aerial photographs of 1947 to 2014, but are difficult to distinguish from the tree planting ridges of the orchard, presumably later in date, within which they are located. The banks do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Stockland, the plot being established as an orchard prior to this date and depicted as such.
