A possible medieval to post-medieval extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The irregular shaped workings were difficult to define in plan, particularly along its north--western edge. It measures approximately 94m in length by 73m in width and is located on moderate northwest facing slope, within an area where extensive extractive workings have been recorded during this survey. Gravel pits are also recorded in proximity here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, so the earthwork may have been similarly utilised for such. The possible extraction pit was not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images owing to tree cover of the common.
