A possible extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1989 and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Woodleigh Lodge. The earthwork is semi-circular in shape, measures approximately 73m in length by 31m in width and is situated on moderate northwest facing slope.
