Possible gravel pits of between post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Burrow Hill Farm. The northeast of the two earthworks is irregular in shape, measures approximately 24m in length by 15m in width and is also partly visible on digital images of 2002. That to the southwest is oval in shape and measures approximately 16m in length by 12m in width. The earthwork pits are located in close proximity to ‘Old gravel pits’ depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map.
