Full description
Bluesky International, 2016, LiDAR DTM data (0.5m resolution) Blackdown Hills and East Devon AONBs: 3 transects, LIDAR ST1212 Bluesky International DTM 05-MAY-2016 & 27-JUN-2016 (Cartographic). SDV359714.
The earthwork pits are visible.

Two extraction pits of between post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Nelson Farm. The southwestern earthwork is sub-oval in shape and measures approximately 36m in length by 24m in width. That to the northeast is also sub-oval in shape and measures approximately 28m in length by 16m in width. The possible extraction pits are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
