A possible marl pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1989, to the north of Foxhill Farm. The earthwork is semi-circular in shape, measures approximately 26m in length by 13m in width and abuts, and so post-dates, an historic field boundary along its northwest edge. Marl pits are depicted in close proximity here, suggesting this earthwork was also likely utilised for such. The possible marl pit remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
