Faint traces of earthwork ditches of possible former medieval field boundaries are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Hagdon Farm. The possible earthworks are northeast to southwest aligned and closely respect the historic field patterns depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of approximately 1838-48, although the field boundaries appear to have passed out of use by this time. A number of other adjacent earthwork ditches are also visible on lidar images here, although since they are depicted as field boundaries on this map, were not transcribed as part of this survey. The earthworks were not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey. These earthworks should be viewed with some caution and it is possible they are the result of modern cultivation.
