An earthwork pit measuring circa 28 by 21 metres is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is likely to be an extraction pit, although it is not clear in this instance what material was being extracted. It seems to abut an extant field boundary in an area characterised as post-medieval enclosures and probably post-dates it.
