Extraction pits of between post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on aerial photographs of 1947 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Musgrove Farm. The earthworks appear to form part of a single irregular shaped extraction pit which measures approximately 60m in length by 48m in width. It has been bisected by two field boundaries first depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. Earthworks of this extraction pit are also partly depicted here on this map. The earthworks are largely obscured by tree cover.
