The extraction pit is faintly visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the east of Westlands Farm. The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 40m in length by 22m in width and is situated in close proximity to a number of similar such features recorded here during this survey. The earthwork remains visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
