The extraction pits are partly visible as earthwork pits.

Two extraction pits of between post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on aerial photographs of 1947 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the south of Collinshayne House. The northern of the two earthworks is irregular in shape and measures approximately 41m in length by 21m in width. That to the south is sub-oval in shape and measures approximately 24m in length by 15m in width. The earthworks have been cut into moderate west facing slope and are located in an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded during this survey.
