Earthwork banks of likely post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Lower Bodmiscombe Farm. The two parallel and curvilinear earthworks are northwest to southeast aligned and are located on gentle southwest facing slope. The earthworks are located within an extensive area of catch meadow gutters (MDV70236) and it is possible these banks, which are similarly aligned, may be associated with this catch meadow system. Alternatively the banks may represent the remains of former field boundaries which passed out of use by the time of the Parish Tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The earthworks were not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
