The possible extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the northwest of Goodleigh. The oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 30m in length by 25m in width and is located within the southwest corner of a land parcel, on moderate southwest facing slope. The extraction pit is clearly visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
