A field boundary of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1947 and on digital images derived from Lidar data captured in 2016, to the southeast of Loosemore’s Farm. The field boundary is northeast to southwest aligned, curving sharply to the east at its northern extent. It is clearly associated with the two field boundaries located at either end of the earthwork, although appears to have passed out of use by the time of the Parish Tithe Map of approximately 1838-48. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project records this area as comprising ‘Medieval enclosures’.
