The extraction pit is faintly visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the south of Late Haynes. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 31m in length by 18m in width and is situated on steep northwest facing slope, in proximity to a number of similar such features recorded here as part of this survey. The earthwork pit remains visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
