Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th date are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Madford House. The earthworks, which are northwest to southeast aligned and occupy an area of approximately 40m in length by 15m in width of gentle northwest facing slope, may represent the remains of 18th-19th agricultural improvement or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. The earthwork banks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
