An irregular earthwork pit, 11 by 35 metres in extent, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 alongside a watercourse. It is interpreted as the remains of an extractive pit, probably of post-medieval or early modern date. It is not depicted on the available historic mapping and presumably pre-dates the late-19th century.
