Parallel linear banks, circa 3.5 metres in width, are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. They are broadly cross-contour in orientation and indicative of tree planting banks that were common in orchards of post-medieval or 19th century date. Trees are depicted in this triangular plot of land on the Tithe map, supporting this interpretation, although two sides of the plot and no trees are depicted on the late-19th century OS map. The banks are therefore interpreted as orchard banks that went out of use before the late-19th century.
