Former field boundaries of between medieval to post-medieval date are visible as a series of earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1989 and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the south of Abbey Mill. The linear earthworks are northeast to southwest and northwest to southeast aligned, occupy an area of approximately 3.30 hectares and are situated on moderate northeast facing slope. The Parish Tithe map is incomplete here, although the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s shows that the field boundaries have all passed out of use by this time.
