An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Abbey Mill. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 16m in length by 13m in width and is located within the corner of a field. The earthwork is located in an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded during this survey. It remains visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
