An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the southeast of Little Musgrove Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 20m in length by 14m in width and is located within the site of a former orchard depicted here on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map, the orchard likely being established here following the abandonment of the Extraction pit. The earthwork pit is visible on aerial photographs of 1988, although digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016 show that the former extraction pit has been completely levelled following development of the site.
