Parallel linear banks, circa 3.5 metres in width, are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and aerial photographs taken from 1996 onwards. In scale they resemble the tree planting banks that were common in orchards of post-medieval or 19th century date. However they are not aligned cross-contour, which is typical for orchard banks to aid drainage, and there is no cartographic evidence of orchard in this location, so this interpretation is tentative.
