Grinsell, L. V., 1970, The Barrows of North Devon, 121 (Article in Serial). SDV7849.

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1977 - 1980, SS21NE7(b) (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV340124.

Site visit 16th October 1977. Barrow B. A barrow, possibly a bowl, no evidence of a ditch, approximately 12 metres diameter, 0.2 metres high.

Devon Committee for Rescue Archaeology, 1979 - 1981, North Devon Barrow Survey, DCRA ND 43 (Archive - Survey). SDV341310.

Site visit 8th November 1979. Diameter 13.5 metres, height 0.2-0.3 metres. Very small, low mound almost flattened out. Seems to run into ditch of ND45. Very insubstantial, and one ploughing could remove it altogether. Poor condition.

Visited 5th September 1996. Barrow still visible in pasture. Occasionally re-seeded. Dimensions roughly as above. Forms part of an aligned group..

[One of] two bowl barrows situated on a prominent upland ridge overlooking the valley of Seckington Water. The northernmost barrow survives as a circular mound with a diameter of 16.2 metres and it is 0.3 metres high. The surrounding ditch is preserved as a buried feature 2 metres wide adjoining that of the southern barrow.

The barrow is visible as an earthwork mound, up to approximately 14 metres in diameter, on images derived from lidar data captured in 2013. The mound had been transcribed for the Tamar NMP survey, and is depicted on the modern OS mapping. The earthwork visible on the lidar imagery does not exactly correlate with any of these locations, nor with the Scheduled area, and has been re-transcribed for this project.
