Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
Exeter Archaeology, 2003-2004, East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Archaeological Survey, Site No. 599 (Archive - Survey). SDV351568.
Field called Gully Beckenage on Tithe Map/Tithe Apportionment (Tithe Apportionment No. 85), with field of same name adjacent to north (Tithe Apportionment No. 86; SY 1627 9619). Nature of gully not known. Could possibly derive from 'goyle' meaning deep stream valley. Other 'Gully' field names to north.
