An earthwork depression circa 60m by 25m is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. It corresponds with an 'Old Sand Pit' depicted on the First Edition OS map and as an earthwork thereafter. The depression is interpreted as a sand pit of post-medieval origin, that ceased extraction by the end of the 19th century.
