A curvilinear earthwork ditch, circa 3 metres in width, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is broadly parallel to the eastern boundary of Thorney Cleave Copse, approximately 27 metres to the east, although this boundary appears to have been somewhat straightened since the late-19th century. The surrounding area has been characterised as enclosures based on strip fields, and it seems likely that the ditch is the remains of a relict medieval boundary.
