The extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of between post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Rawridge Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 22m in length by 18m in width and is located in an area where numerous similar such features have been recorded during this survey and following a walkover survey carried out in 2016 (MDV114110) associated with the A30/A303 improvement works between Honiton and Devonshire Inn.
