Possible former field boundaries of between medieval to post-medieval date are visible as an earthwork bank and ditch on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, at Rawridge. The two parallel boundaries are northwest to southeast aligned and generally respect the historic field patterns depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of approximately 1838-48, although appear to have passed out of use by this time. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project has classified this area as comprising ‘Medieval enclosures based on strip fields’. The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs of other digital images made available to the survey.
