Possible former field boundaries of between medieval to post-medieval date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the east of Hugginshayes Farm. The two linear field boundaries are northwest to southeast aligned and generally respect the historic field patterns depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, although both appear to have passed out of use by this time. The field boundaries remain visible as earthwork banks on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. A number of other linear earthwork features are visible in the immediate vicinity here on lidar images, although were not transcribed during this survey, either because they are depicted as field boundaries on historic mapping or because they were interpreted as being of modern date.
