Exeter Archaeology, 2003-2004, East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Archaeological Survey, Site No. 868 (Archive - Survey). SDV351568.
Ditches to west, south and east of Widworthy Mill visible on 1947 Aerial Photograph. Possibly for drainage, but at least some are part of a watermeadow system. 2 meadows called Higher/Lower Water Leaze on Tithe Map/Tithe Apportionment may be related to such a system (Tithe Apportionment Nos 60 & 59 at SY 2157 9978, & SY 2175 9987).
