The orchard appears to have passed out of use by this time.

Possible tree-planting banks of a former post-medieval to 19th century orchard are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Upottery. An orchard is depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of approximately 1838-48, although appears to have passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The faintly defined earthworks are northeast to southwest and east to west aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.30 hectares of gentle west facing slope. The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
