Extraction pits of likely post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Langbridge Farm. The two larger sub-oval shaped earthworks measure approximately 28m in length, with a third smaller semi-circular earthwork which measures approximately 18m in length. The earthworks are located either side of a road within an area defined on the Parish Tithe map as an orchard and a possible copse, these likely being established here following the abandonment of the pits. They are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey owing to tree cover here.
