Full description
Bluesky International, 2016, LiDAR DTM data (0.5m resolution) Blackdown Hills and East Devon AONBs: 3 transects (Cartographic). SDV359714.
The extraction pits are visible as earthwork pits.

Extraction pits of likely post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Hanson’s Farm. The northern of the two earthworks is sub-circular in shape and measures approximately 20m in length by 18m in width, with that to the south being sub-oval in shape and measuring approximately 14m in length by 11m in width. The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
