Five irregular earthwork pits, between 15 and 57 metres across, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. They are interpreted as the remains of extractive pits, although it is not clear what materials were being extracted. They are obscured by the tree canopy on the available aerial photographs and sited within Bray’s Coppice, which is depicted as broadleaf woodland on the 19th century maps, suggesting that extraction predated the mid-19th century.
