A field boundary of probable post medieval date was visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1947, on the east-facing slopes to the south of Aller Farm, Upottery parish. The boundary corresponds to a boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Upottery and is therefore early 19th century in date at the latest. The boundary is not shown on the ordnance Survey First Edition 25 inch map and was therefore removed at some point between the 1840s and 1880s, probably as part of wider reorganisation in this area, including a minor re-rerouting of a road immediately to the east. The earthwork is not identifiable on more recent images available to the survey and has probably been levelled.
