Possible cultivation terraces of potential medieval date are visible as earthwork cuttings on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Harvestwood Farm. The two linear earthwork cuttings are northwest to southeast aligned, measure between 128m to 138m in length and up to 11m in width and are situated on gentle to moderate northeast facing slope. The earthworks broadly correspond to the plot boundaries depicted here on the Parish Tithe map of approximately 1838-48. An additional cultivation terrace is possibly visible further to the southeast (MDV116480). The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey owing to tree cover.
