Former field boundaries of between medieval to post-medieval date are visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southeast of Baxters Farm. The southern of the two earthworks is linear in shape and northwest to southeast aligned, whilst that to the north is curvilinear in shape and broadly northeast to southwest aligned. The boundaries are not depicted on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48 so appear to have passed out of use by this time. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project has classified this area as comprising ‘Medieval enclosures based on strip fields’. The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
