A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, at Baxters Farm, with which it is likely associated. The sub-circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 14m in diameter. Earthworks are partly depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s and clay pits are depicted in the immediate vicinity on this map, which gives a good indication as to the likely use of this earthwork. It was not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other aerial photographs made available to the survey.
