A curvilinear earthwork ditch, circa 2.5 metres in width, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It fits into the surrounding field system which has been characterised as medieval in origin and based on strip fields. At its southern end it may originally have joined to an extant field boundary and may have linked this to a field boundary to the north that is on the same alignment and depicted on the Tithe map. It is interpreted as the relict remains of a medieval field boundary bank which went out of use by the mid-19th century when the area is depicted as wooded.
