A curvilinear earthwork ditch, circa 3 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is similar in appearance to water channels and gutters of watermeadows, but this seems unlikely, since its lowest point is partway along rather than at one end of the visible earthwork. Neither is its alignment compatible with a drainage function and it does not appear to have been a field boundary, as it encloses a very small and irregular area in the corner of a field which is likely itself to have be enclosed by boundaries of medieval origin. Its function is not clear from the aerial photographs but its sharpness and width indicates a post-medieval or early modern date.
