Parallel linear banks, circa 4 metres in width, are indistinctly visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and aerial photographs taken from 1969. They are aligned broadly cross-contour, typical of the tree planting banks that were common in orchards of post-medieval or 19th century date to aid drainage. Orchards are depicted in this location on the historic mapping, and rows of trees were still visible on the aerial photographs; aerial photographs taken in 2014 indicate that some fruit trees may still survive.
