A curvilinear earthwork ditch, circa 1.5 metres in width, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and less distinctly on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards. It is aligned east to west, and at its western end it terminates close to a field boundary depicted on the Tithe map, suggesting that it could have been a medieval or post-medieval field boundary. No features are shown in this location on the 19th century mapping, and any field boundary here presumably went out of use before the mid-19th century. However its cross-contour alignment means that it could have functioned as a water channel for drainage, although its curvilinear shape is not typical of drainage systems.
