Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of North Hill Farm. The earthworks, faintly defined on places, are northwest to southeast aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.80 hectares of moderate east facing slope. They may represent the remains of agricultural improvement or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. The earthwork banks partly overlie the site of a former extraction pit (MDV116541).
