Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Brimpit Farm. The earthworks are northwest to southeast aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.36 hectares of east facing slope. They may represent the remains of 18th-19th agricultural improvement or represent tree planting banks, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the trees. The presence of woodland to the east, north and west of the earthworks may give preference to the latter interpretation.
