The extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the north of Corrymoor Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 48m in length by 23m in width and is situated on moderate to steep southwest facing slope, adjacent to Corry Brook. The earthwork is located in an area where numerous similar such features have been recorded during this survey.
