The earthwork pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible gravel pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of Tiphayes Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 36m in length by 26m in width and is situated on moderate to steep southeast facing slope, immediately adjacent to a gravel pit (MDV62986) depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition Map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The earthwork is not visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey owing to tree cover here.
